This program offers an opportunity for solo reflection at the heart of winter, as we greet the darkest day of the year.
Join us for a day of personal contemplation and group council in the peaceful forest, where nature and community will meet and witness us as our whole selves.
All bodies are welcome to join us in this exploration. We are committed to making programs accessible for as many kinds of humans at possible.

WHAT IS A FIRE RITUAL?This fire ritual is a nature meditation. It is an opportunity to slow down, to be with yourself and nature, to explore what fire means to you on the darkest day of the year.
The winter solstice is the longest/darkest night of the year. It is also the turning point after which the days, little by little, start to get progressively lighter.
In this ritual we will build and tend to a community fire as a group, after which everyone will have some hours of solo time out on the land in which to tend to their own small fire. Fire is heat, energy, power. Fire keeps us alive. How is your fire feeling at this dark time?

COSTThe cost for this half-day program is from $40 to $90
We humbly ask that you give what feels appropriate given your circumstances and access to financial resources.
We ask you to please be generous in order to increase accessibility for others and support your guide’s ability to do this work while also having space to tend to themselves and their family.
If the cost for any program is not affordable for you, please reach out. We are also open to and find joy in exchanges of goods or services, if you prefer that route.
Deposit
We ask for a deposit of $40 from all participants upon acceptance into the program.
This ensures that those who sign up are fully committed to the journey— which is both helpful for your guides in resourcing our time, and helpful for you in that it encourages thoughtful consideration before stepping into this work.
